The 2023 Africa Cup for Club Champions (ACCC) tournament will kick off on Saturday in Blantyre, Malawi, where hockey clubs from Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana will face off for the next 10 days.
Lakers Hockey Club from Kisumu and the Blazers Hockey Club from Nairobi will be representing Kenya.
Lakers will get the games underway with a match against Delta Queens from Ghana from 11am East African Time.
Apart from Delta, the Kisumu based club will play Malawi’s two finest clubs Scorpions and Genetrix in Group A.
Lakers finished joint third during the 2022 edition in Nairobi
Blazers on the other hand will play their opening match against Kada Queens
The Blazers are in Group B alongside champions Ghana Revenue Authority, Kada Queens, Capital Braves from Malawi, and their fellow Kenyan counterparts.
