Harambee Stars striker Benson Omalla scored his ninth goal of the season as Gor Mahia defeated Kariobangi Sharks 2-1.
The win saw the defending champions leapfrog Posta Rangers at the helm of the 18-team standings.
Rangers who were ahead before the match day 13 lost 1-0 to Nairobi City Stars 1-0 on Saturday and dropped to second with 25 points.
Kakamega Homeboyz moved to third on the log with 1-0 win over Bidco United. Homeboyz have 24 points, three behind leaders Gor Mahia.
KCB who drew 1-1 against Shabana on Saturday are fourth with 23 points same as Bandari who won 1-0 against bottom placed Muhoroni Youth at Mbaraki Grounds in Mombasa.
Sofapaka meanwhile thrashed 10-man Nzoia Sugar 3-1 at Sudi Stadium to move out of the relegation zone. The 2009 champions are one point above the danger zone.
Muhoroni Youth and Nzoia Sugar occupy the bottom two spots while AFC leopards are in the relegation/promotion playoffs position.
