Three world champions, Gudaf Tsegay, Grant Holloway, and Marco Arop, will compete at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting on February 4th,2024, according to the organizers of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix.
Tsegay leads the women’s 1500m at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, her first appearance since 2018. In recent seasons, the Ethiopian has proven to be one of the most successful and adaptable athletes in the sport.
She has taken home world titles in the 1500m indoor and 10,000m outdoor events. In the 1500m indoors and 5000m outdoor events, she also holds world records.
At this meeting, Holloway, who leads a competitive 60-meter hurdles field in Boston, will be going for his third straight win. Since his high school days, the three-time world champion in the 110-meter hurdles has gone nearly ten years without losing an indoor competition.
Trey Cunningham, the 2022 world silver medallist, and world bronze medallist Daniel Roberts will be fierce competitors for the world indoor record holder in Boston.
These elite athletes join Noah Lyles, Gabby Thomas, and Jake Wightman, who were previously announced.
