Morocco outclass Tajikistan at FIFA Futsal World Cup

Otmane Boumezou was the hero of the day on Monday with his brace that contributed to Morocco’s 4-2 victory over Tajikistan in the ongoing FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan.

The reigning champions are flying the African flag as part of the trio of African nations including Angola and Libya at the global showpiece involving 24 nations.

Monday’s win sees Morocco second behind Portugal who cruised past Panama 10 – 1 in their opening Group E match.

Boumezou’s brace was accompanied by goals by Idriss Raiss El Fenni as well as Soufian Charraoui, as the north Africans secured a commanding win over their opponents.

Up next for the Moroccans will be a clash against Panama on Thursday where they will be looking at inflicting more pain on the wounded Panama side.

Meanwhile, Angola face Ukraine in their second Group C match on Wednesday. The Angolans fell short against Afghanistan in their opening match where they lost 6-4.
