The 16-team field for the FIBA AfroBasket 2025 is now complete following the conclusion of the Qualifiers.
The 20 national teams played a total of 59 matches over the course of three qualifying windows in six African cities.
The qualifiers began with Window 1 in Monastir, Tunisia, and Cairo, Egypt, in February 2024, and continued with Window 2 in Dakar, Senegal, before making their final stops this month in Antananarivo, Rabat and Tripoli.
Of the 20 national teams that took part in the qualifiers, Central African Republic, Gabon, Kenya and Morocco were eliminated, while 16 teams qualified for the final round, which will be held in Angola from 12-24 August.
On Sunday, February 23, Guinea and Rwanda secured the last two tickets to this year’s African showpiece.
