Kitui’s FC Dynamo clinched the 2025 Mashujaa Day Cup following a 1-0 win over AFC Leopards Youth at the Ithookwe Stadium in Kitui County, Kenya, in front of a charged home crowd.
Enoch Ouma netted the goal for the FKF Division One side through a penalty kick in the 5th minute of the match.

The victory saw the FC Dynamo bank KES500,000, a trophy and medals while AFC Leopards received KES300,000 and medals.
Meanwhile, Makueni County Para Volleyball team humbled Kitui Sitting Volleyball team 3-0 at the same venue.

The matches were organised by the Ministry of Sports as part of the 2025 Mashujaa Day celebrations.
“It has been hard for us, a 1-0 win is not easy,” FC Dynamo coach Januaris Mwendwa. “Congratulations to my players, champions are not made in comfort. On behalf of the entire team and the management, I extend our sincere gratitude to the government, especially the Ministry of Sports for bringing Mashujaa Day celebrations and Cup tournament to Kitui.”
He added: “We treated the fixture as our Community Shield because our first match of the Division One season comes next week, this win means a lot for us because we will start the new campaign motivated. We are also happy because we now have a stadium, this facility will help in our matches. In the next two years, we are aiming to play at higher levels and prove it to the country that this region has talent in football.”
“We are so grateful to Makueni players, they have showcased that they know the game of seating volleyball. We celebrate our 3-0 victory, the trophy and the prize in cash,” Makueni Para Volleyball captain Justus Katumo said.
“We also extend our gratitude to the organisers of this event, they made us show the country that people living with disabilities have strength and gifted differently, we now have a seating volleyball team in Kitui that will be competing at the county level.”
