For the third consecutive year, LALIGA presents the “LALIGA Awards. The Pride of our Football,” monthly recognitions that combine the votes of a panel of experts with fan participation, who choose the winners each month through the official website.
LALIGA presents the October awards in the categories of Best Player, Best Coach, Best U-23 Player, Best Goal, and Best Save, recognizing the talent, consistency, and entertainment provided by the stars of the competition.
The October award winners are:
ÍÑIGO PÉREZ, BEST LALIGA EA SPORTS COACH IN OCTOBER
The coach from Navarre has been named Coach of the Month after a brilliant October leading Rayo Vallecano.
The “franjirrojo” side achieved a perfect record of victories, defeating Real Sociedad (0-1), Levante UD (0-3), and Deportivo Alavés (1-0) in Vallecas, without conceding a single goal throughout the month.
Thanks to this streak, Rayo has climbed to seventh place in the table with 14 points.
Íñigo Pérez beat out Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid) and Manuel Pellegrini (Real Betis) in the final vote, earning his first recognition as LALIGA EA SPORTS Coach of the Month.
ALBERTO MOLEIRO, BEST U-23 PLAYER OF LALIGA EA SPORTS IN OCTOBER
The midfielder from Tenerife, playing for Villarreal CF, has been named Best U-23 Player of the Month, an award presented by LALIGA together with Riyadh Season.
Moleiro had an outstanding month with the team from Castellón, establishing himself as a key figure in midfield.
He especially shined in the victory against Real Betis, in which he scored a goal and provided an assist. His leadership and ability to generate attacking play have made him one of the most promising young talents in the competition.
Villarreal CF’s number 20 beat out Mateo Joseph (RCD Mallorca), Arda Güler (Real Madrid), and Pablo Barrios (Atlético de Madrid) in the final vote.
SAMU COSTA, BEST GOAL OF LALIGA EA SPORTS IN OCTOBER
The Portuguese midfielder from RCD Mallorca has been awarded the Best Goal of the Month, thanks to the spectacular strike he scored against Athletic Club at San Mamés.
In the 77th minute, with his team trailing 1-0, Costa equalized with a powerful shot from the edge of the box that went straight into the top corner, creating one of the month’s standout moments.
The number 12 of the “bermellón” side receives this award for the first time, beating Axel Witsel (Girona FC) and Pol Lozano (RCD Espanyol) in the final vote.
JAN OBLAK, BEST SAVE OF LALIGA EA SPORTS IN OCTOBER
The Slovenian goalkeeper from Atlético de Madrid has been named winner of the Best Save of the Month, thanks to his decisive intervention in the final stretch of the match against CA Osasuna.
In the 89th minute, with the score at 1-0, Oblak made a spectacular save from Ante Budimir’s shot, securing the victory for Atlético.
The Atlético goalkeeper beat Aarón Escandell (Real Oviedo) and Marko Dmitrovic (RCD Espanyol) in the final vote.
KYLIAN MBAPPÉ, BEST LALIGA EA SPORTS PLAYER IN OCTOBER
The French forward from Real Madrid repeats as Best Player of LALIGA EA SPORTS after another exceptional month with the white team, which earned three wins in three matches, with the Frenchman scoring in each one.
During October, Mbappé extended his spectacular scoring streak: he scored in the 3-1 win against Villarreal CF, netted the decisive goal in the 0-1 win over Getafe CF, and opened the scoring in the 2-1 victory over FC Barcelona in ELCLÁSICO.
Real Madrid’s number 10 claims his second consecutive award of the season after beating Pedri (FC Barcelona), Antony (Real Betis), Jan Oblak (Atlético de Madrid), and Jorge de Frutos (Rayo Vallecano) in the final vote.
