ANZA MMA is set to make combat sports history when it stages Kenya’s first professionally sanctioned mixed martial arts (MMA) event at Broadwalk Mall in Nairobi today.
After developing the region’s amateur MMA scene, ANZA now brings together top professional fighters from Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania for a groundbreaking night of elite competition and world-class production never before seen in Kenyan combat sports.
The event has already drawn attention beyond Africa, with scouts from major global MMA organizations – including the UFC, PFL, and African Knock Out (AKO) closely monitoring the fighter lineup.

The professional card will showcase some of East Africa’s most exciting rising talent. Ouhsummer Ali Abad “Ninja Turtle” returns to Nairobi to make his professional debut on home soil after competing internationally. George Itumo, coming off a standout performance at AKO in Lagos, enters the card as one of Kenya’s most promising talents. Tanzania’s Dauda Rajabu enters the Kenyan scene for the first time following a dominant win at EFC, South Africa’s premier MMA organization. Rounding out the marquee matchups, Kenya’s Annet Kiiza will face Uganda’s Real Ashubwe in a highly anticipated cross-border showdown.
Fans can expect a high-energy, world-class MMA production, complete with premium lighting, sound, broadcast systems, and athlete presentation – setting a new benchmark for combat sports events in Kenya.
