The final leg of the CAF African Schools Football Championship zonal qualifiers will kick off on Thursday, 12 March 2026 in Libreville’s Stade de Nzeng-Ayong, as the UNIFFAC Zonal Union stages it’s qualifiers of Africa’s largest schools football competition.

After a season-long series of qualifiers that began in November 2025, the UNIFFAC zone will host the concluding matches from 12 to 15 March 2026, paving the way for next month’s CAF African Schools Football Championship Continental Finals.

The qualifiers will feature host nation Gabon, alongside DR Congo and São Tomé & Príncipe, competing in a round-robin format. The winning teams in both the Boys and Girls U-15 divisions will secure their places at next month’s CAF African Schools Football Championship Continental Finals as the zonal champions.

Next month’s Continental Finals will mark the fourth consecutive edition of the CAF African Schools Football Championship, which continues to leverage football as a platform to empower the next generation of African leaders.

In parallel with this week’s qualifiers, CAF will run a series of Capacity Building programmes designed to support grassroots football development across Africa.

These initiatives include CAF Coaching Workshops, Young Reporters Workshops, Young Medical Officers Workshops, and CAF Safeguarding Workshops, offering a broad range of skill-building opportunities for participants.

CAF will release the official fixtures for the UNIFFAC Qualifiers in due course.
