The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) is pleased to announce that it will host a Global MMA Summit in Q3 2026, bringing together key stakeholders from across the international MMA landscape.

The Summit will serve as a strategic platform for collaboration between national federations, international partners, regulatory bodies, event organisers, and industry experts, with a shared focus on strengthening the global development of amateur MMA.

As the sport continues its rapid growth worldwide, the IMMAF Global MMA Summit will address key areas including:

  • Governance and international recognition
  • Athlete development pathways
  • Event and competition structures
  • Safety, medical standards, and safeguarding
  • Digital strategy and audience engagement
  • Commercial growth and sustainability

As part of the Summit agenda, IMMAF will focus on reinforcing the recognised framework and identity of mixed martial arts as a sport. This includes its established ruleset, competition environment, and internationally recognised safety standards. Particular emphasis will be placed on the role of enclosed competition areas in ensuring athlete safety, alongside the importance of consistent officiating and maintaining the integrity of MMA competition worldwide.

The Summit supports IMMAF’s long-term vision of a unified and globally recognised sport, built on strong governance and a commitment to athlete welfare.

Speaking on the announcement, IMMAF President Kerrith Brown said: “We are bringing the global MMA community together at a crucial time for the sport. This Summit provides an important opportunity to align on key priorities, strengthen relationships, and ensure that MMA continues to grow responsibly, with athlete welfare, governance, and the integrity of the sport at its core.”

The event will include a series of panels, workshops, and strategic sessions designed to encourage open dialogue and deliver practical outcomes that support IMMAF’s member federations and partners worldwide.

Further details regarding participation, programme structure, and speakers will be announced in due course.
