It represents a bold convergence of sport, innovation, and digital culture, aligning seamlessly with Konza Technopolis’ vision of building a future-ready city that integrates technology with lifestyle, entertainment, and economic opportunity. By hosting the event, Konza Technopolis continues to position itself as a dynamic destination where innovation is not confined to offices and laboratories but is being expressed through diverse cultural and sporting platforms.
Speaking during the event, Delta Motorsports Club Chairperson Sunil Bhachu reiterated that Delta Motorsports Club’s decision to host Race Wars at Konza Technopolis demonstrates outstanding strategic vision, perfectly aligning high-performance motorsports with Kenya’s premier hub for innovation and technology.

“The venue offers exceptionally smooth, wide tarmac stretches and a controlled, safe environment ideal for competitive racing, while simultaneously showcasing Konza Technopolis as a versatile, world-class destination beyond its tech reputation. This partnership not only elevates the event’s professionalism and safety standards but also generates positive economic ripple effects for the surrounding community, reinforcing both Delta Motorsports Club’s commitment to excellence and Konza’s role as a catalyst for dynamic, large-scale gatherings.”
Konza Technopolis Chief Executive Officer John Paul Okwiri emphasized the strategic importance of the motorsport showcase to Konza Technopolis’s broader mission.

By bringing together motorsport, innovation, and digital experiences, we are showcasing Konza Technopolis as a vibrant, inclusive city that supports creativity, talent, and world-class events. This is how we are bringing our smart city vision to life.”
After a very competitive two-day race, Lexus Musa clinched the 1000cc Bikers category, while Salman Mohamed was crowned the winner of two-wheel drive, and Jeremy Kithome took home the award as the best driver in the Open Class category. The partnership between Konza Technopolis and Delta Motor Sports reflects a shared commitment to elevate Kenya’s sporting profile while embedding technology and innovation into event experiences.
The motorsport event aims to position Kenya as a regional hub for innovative sporting and digital experiences, reinforcing the country’s growing reputation as a leader in technology, creativity, and youth-driven enterprise.
For Konza Technopolis, the event is particularly strategic. As Kenya’s flagship smart city project, Konza Technopolis is being designed to catalyse economic growth through technology, innovation, and sustainable urban development. Hosting a high-profile motorsport event within the city highlights the Smart City’s readiness to support large-scale, modern events and demonstrates the city’s evolving infrastructure, lifestyle appeal, and community-centric vision.

Beyond the thrill of motorsport, Race Wars is contributing to broader conversations around innovation, digital engagement, and experiential events in Kenya. It showcases how sporting platforms are being reimagined to create immersive experiences that resonate with younger audiences while opening opportunities for collaboration across technology, media, and creative industries.
The choice of Konza Technopolis City as the host venue further reinforces the city’s positioning as a destination that seamlessly blends business, lifestyle, and recreation. As Konza Technopolis continues to grow, such events are playing a critical role in shaping its identity as a living, breathing city that is attracting investors, residents, visitors, and global attention.
As Kenya continues to invest in digital transformation and innovation-led growth, events like Race Wars are signalling a new chapter for sports and entertainment in the region. They highlight the potential of strategic partnerships and forward-thinking urban spaces to redefine how audiences are experiencing sport in the digital age.
