Following the conclusion of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, attention now turns back to club football this weekend, where Africa’s leading sides resume their continental campaigns.
With two rounds of group matches were completed before the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON break, Matchday 3 marks the halfway point of the competition, making it a decisive moment in the race for qualification to the quarter-finals.
TotalEnergies Champions League: Midway battles begin
The TotalEnergies CAF Champions League returns with a strong opening day on Friday, as record champions Al Ahly host Tanzania’s Young Africans in Cairo.
Later on Friday, South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns welcome Sudan’s Al Hilal Omdurman in Pretoria, in a fixture expected to shape Group C standings at the midpoint of the campaign.
