What you need to know
- Juventus are fifth in the Serie A table with 34 points after playing 20 games, while AC Milan are seventh with 31 after playing 19 matches.
- At the start of the month, Milan came back from behind to beat Juve 3-1 in the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final before beating city rivals Inter 3-2 in the final on January 6.
- Juve drew against Atalanta in midweek, their league-high 13th this Serie A campaign (W7). The draw stretches their unbeaten run in the division, and extends their winless streak in competitive matches (D3, L1).
- Milan will travel to Turin with the aim of ending their drought, as they have failed to score against the Bianconeri in three consecutive Serie A games (D2, L1).
- The Rossoneri seem to be in much better shape after the arrival of new manager Sérgio Conceição, having won three of the four matches under his leadership so far (D1).
- Milan have won back-to-back away league matches for the first time this season and will now aim to win three such outings in a row for the first time since March 2024.
