Ghana are out of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars fate was sealed on Tuesday night after Cameroon came from three goals down to knock out Gambia 3-2 in a five-goal thriller match in Group C and pushing them out of the best losers spot they prayed they would win.

With two points, Ghana cannot contest in the four available best losers spots as Guinea (4 points), Ivory Coast and Namibia (both 3 points) and Algeria (2 points with a game in hand) mathematically rules them out.
On Monday, Ghana were on course for a top two finish in Group B with a 2-0 lead over Mozambique in their last match at Abidjan’s Alassane Ouattara Stadium but conceded two goals in stoppage time to draw 2-2 and finish third.

But with only two points from their matches Ghana were praying to take one of the berths in the last 16, a dream that is now gone.
