Date:

Excitement is building in the world of rugby as the Vodacom Bulls and Hollywoodbets Sharks from South Africa gear up to make history in the Investec Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup quarter-finals this weekend, aiming to secure their maiden spots in the semi-finals of these prestigious European competitions.

The Hollywoodbets Sharks will kick off the action on Saturday afternoon in Durban, facing off against Edinburgh at Hollywoodbets Kings Park at 13:30 South African time.

The Sharks enter this match on the back of an impressive victory over Zebre Parma in the Round of 16 and are determined to replicate their winning form against Edinburgh, whom they defeated just three weeks ago in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship.

The Durban-based outfit, led by their passionate home crowd, will look to exploit their attacking prowess, having scored 28 tries in five Challenge Cup matches compared to Edinburgh’s 20.

With a recent history of success against the Scottish side and a string of victories in European competition, the Sharks are poised for another thrilling encounter.

Meanwhile, the Vodacom Bulls will face a tough challenge in England against Northampton Saints at Cinch Stadium @ Franklin’s Gardens at 21:00 South African time.

The Bulls are riding high after a dominant performance against Lyon in the previous round, showcasing their attacking flair with a total of 25 tries in the Champions Cup this season.

Northampton Saints, undefeated in this campaign and sitting atop the Premiership table, present a formidable obstacle for the Bulls.

For both South African teams, this weekend’s fixtures represent significant opportunities to etch their names in European rugby history.

The Bulls and Sharks are determined to capitalize on their recent form and secure landmark victories that will propel them into the semi-finals of their respective competitions.

The anticipation surrounding these matches is palpable, with rugby enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the clash between the Bulls and Saints in England and the showdown between the Sharks and Edinburgh in Durban.

Both encounters promise to be fiercely contested battles as the teams vie for a coveted spot in the next stage of European rugby’s premier tournaments.
