The 2024 Enterprise Cup final is set to be a thrilling encounter as defending champions Kabras Sugar face off against KCB for the fourth time in the history of the competition.
The match will take place at the RFUEA Grounds on Saturday.
This storied rivalry began in 2017, when KCB edged out Kabras Sugar with a narrow 27-23 victory to retain their title.
However, Kabras Sugar has since turned the tide, claiming victory in their last two encounters. They won the 2022 final 9-6 and followed it up with a dramatic 30-27 triumph in 2023.
The upcoming final marks the 85th edition of the Enterprise Cup, a tournament with a rich history dating back to its inception in 1930.
The competition was suspended during World War II from 1940 to 1946, in 1987 due to the All African Games, and between 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2012 final was also not played due to a dispute involving the Kenya Rugby Union and the teams Impala, Nondescripts, and Kenya Harlequin. Consequently, the KRU awarded the title to KCB, who ultimately rejected it.
Kabras Sugar will be aiming to secure their fourth title with a win on Saturday, adding to their previous victories in 2019, 2022, and 2023.
KCB, on the other hand, is seeking their first title since 2017 and their sixth overall, having previously won the cup in 2004, 2007, 2015, 2016, and 2017.
