Gameweek 11 of the 2024/2025 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season is shaping up to be an exciting one, with a number of key fixtures that could influence both player selections and point hauls. As the season progresses, managers are beginning to fine-tune their squads, balancing form with upcoming fixtures and injuries.
This Gameweek provides a blend of high-scoring opportunities and potential pitfalls, requiring managers to strike the right balance between form, fixture difficulty and squad depth.
FORMATION: 3:4:3
GOALKEEPER: Matz Sels (Nottingham Forest)
Four clean sheets, six save points and six bonus points showcase the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper’s multiple routes to returns. Sels has a home match against a Newcastle United side who have scored just five goals in as many away matches this season.
DEF: Diogo Dalot (Man United)
Dalot has produced an assist, four clean sheets and six bonus points in this year, underlining his many routes to returns.
DEF: Josko Gvardiol (Man City)
The Croat has climbed to one point off top spot among defenders after scoring all three of his goals this season in the last five Gameweeks. Gvardiol made eight key passes in that spell, which also highlights his strong potential for assists ahead of his encounter with The Sea Gulls.
DEF: Ryan Ait-Nouri (Wolves)
A home match with Southampton gives the full-back a chance to continue his fine start to the season. Ait-Nouri has produced three goals and two assists in 10 matches, already equalling his career-high tally of five goal involvements in a single season
MID: Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford)
Bryan Mbeumo has been central to the Bees incredible form this season, sitting top for goals at home this campaign with seven, including no blanks, which bodes well for the visit of Bournemouth this weekend. His routes to points are plentiful, with seven big chances scored and five big chances created in this campaign, involved in set pieces including penalties.
MID: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
The Egyptian is enjoying one of his best ever starts to a Fantasy campaign, blanking just twice in 10 outings under head coach Arne Slot this season. Salah has averaged 9.3 points per match on his way to the top of the player standings and his consistency makes him the best captain for Gameweek 11 as the Reds welcome Villa to Anfield.
MID: Son Heung-min (Spurs)
The Spurs captain completes a trio of attackers ahead of the game against Ipswich. Son has six goal involvements from seven starts this season but has played just 124 minutes of action over the last five Gameweeks. Spurs have been very exciting at home, leading the way for goals with 15 and third for big chances with 18.
MID: Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
Arsenal talisman Bukayo Saka continues to rank highly despite a tricky fixture on paper away at Chelsea. He’s been consistent this season with 10 goal involvements in 10, but has just one goal in three, with an apparent dip in form for the Gunners.
Saka registered assists home and away against Chelsea last season. Saka’s routes to points are plentiful being on penalties, plus leading the way for key passes (28) and big chances created (12).
FWD: Dominic Solanke (Spurs) – CAPTAIN
The trend of Tottenham attackers continues with No.9 Dominic Solanke, who finished last gameweek as the Player of the Week, providing three goal involvements and maximum bonus in the 4-1 win against Aston Villa.
Solanke’s underlying numbers demonstrate great promise too, with 20 big chances from eight starts this season.
FWD: Matheus Cunha (Wolves)
Wolves striker Matheus Cunha is among the most-purchased forwards for FPL Gameweek 11, as form and fixtures finally converge for Wolves.
Cunha has five goal involvements from the opening 10 gameweeks: four goals and one assist. We also believe that Cunha will be first choice on penalties for Wolves. Opponents Southampton are without a clean sheet on the road this season, conceding eight goals in their last four games.
FWD: Alexander Isak (Newscastle)
The Swedish stiker has been in clinical form since returning from injury, scoring goals in consecutive games. He’s played every single minute in this time, sitting top for shots on target with eight, plus he is on penalties.
The biggest challenge for Isak this week is the fixture, a trip to in-form Nottingham Forest who have conceded just two goals in their last four games.
