“He provides exactly what we were lacking in that position – he’s comfortable on the ball, talented and possesses great stamina. He’s also capable of contributing both offensively and defensively in open play,” said Celta manager Claudio Giráldez to justify the signing.

The action continues on Saturday December 7, 2024 as Valencia go up against Rayo Vallecano at the Mestalla Stadium. Los Ches are still in recovery mode due to the unfortunate events regarding the flooding in their city.

Ghana’s Abdul Mumin has been a crucial player for Vallecano this season, cementing a regular place as the centre-back in the starting line-up and has also netted a goal for the team this season too.

Mumin faced criticism from fans when Ghana failed to qualify for the next Africa Cup of Nations tournament, but his coach Otto Addo came to his defence.

“We made some mistakes so it’s not only him. Besides the mistake, he had a really good game. He played a lot of passes in between the lines and won a lot of duels. He is young and will surely develop,” said Addo.

Keep your eyes glued to the screen on Sunday 9 December when Getafe takes on Espanyol at the Coliseum Stadium in the final match of this round of fixtures in La Liga.
