This weekend, environmental conservation and adventure converge in an exhilarating event as the seventh edition of the Sokoke Forest Mountain Bike Challenge in Kilifi County, Kenya.
Set to take place on May 17 and 18, 2025, the race, which will kick off at Turtle Bay Resort, promises to be an unforgettable experience, combining challenging terrain with stunning natural scenery.

The race will navigate through the beautiful Arabuko Forest, presenting riders with steep climbs, breathtaking views, and sections that glide through mangroves. It is more than just a race; it is a celebration of outdoor sports and a commitment to educational sustainability.
The purpose of the race is to raise funds for eco-scholarships for students in the Watamu-Malindi area, helping to foster a new generation of eco-conscious leaders and promote environmental awareness through mountain biking.

“This event welcomes riders of all skill levels and ages, and we expect a diverse turnout from local and international participants,” MTB publicist Noni Mbuguss said.
“We are inviting media and the public to highlight this unique event and its positive contribution to both the environment and education.

“For the riders, your participation will not only showcase the thrilling nature of the race but also shed light on the important cause it supports.
“Join us for two days of adventure, community spirit, and environmental advocacy. Together, we can make a difference for our future and showcase the beauty of Kenya.”
