Barça were outstanding this season, but five names stood out in their path to a 28th league title.
FC Barcelona are the 2024/25 LALIGA EA SPORTS champions. The Blaugranas achieved glory in a fiercely contested season, marked by bold, dazzling, and offensively-minded football. Many consider them the most exciting team in Europe this year.
While success comes from collective effort, some individuals played a greater role than others. From coach Hansi Flick to teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, here are the five figures that led Barça to the top.
1. Hansi Flick – The Architect

The German coach has transformed FC Barcelona’s recent history. Taking over at a difficult time, Flick rebuilt the team and won over fans with his dynamic, possession-based, attacking style. His approach is risky, but it reflects the club’s DNA—and the fans have embraced it wholeheartedly. Flick is now a cult hero in Barcelona.
2. Iñigo Martínez – The Defensive General
The Basque centre-back was a key figure in Barça’s title run, leading the backline with composure and character in a high-risk defensive setup. He featured in 27 league games, registered five assists—a remarkable stat for a central defender—and played a vital role in Barça’s buildup under pressure with accurate long balls and switches of play.
3. Pedri – The Midfield Maestro
Pedri dominated LALIGA’s midfield this season, proving essential for Barça’s success. In 34 games, he scored four goals, delivered five assists, and recorded the most ball recoveries (238) of any outfield player. He also attempted 2,371 passes with a stunning 89% accuracy. His consistency and completeness made him one of the best players in the competition.
4. Lamine Yamal – The Game-Changer
The most unpredictable player in the league, Lamine was decisive all season. Barça lost five games in total, but he only started one of those, and even then was subbed at half-time due to injury. He leads the league in assists (12) and successful dribbles (256), and his flair has made him one of the most exciting talents in LALIGA EA SPORTS.
5. Raphinha – The Breakout Leader
Raphinha reached new heights in his career this season, leading by example on the pitch. He scored 18 goals and provided nine assists, directly contributing to 27 of Barça’s 95 league goals—nearly 30%. His movement, pressing, and attacking flair were key throughout the campaign.
Other Crucial Contributors
Beyond the top five, several players were vital to this title. Lewandowski’s goals, Pau Cubarsí’s buildup and defensive poise, Koundé’s defensive work on the right, and De Jong’s 2025 resurgence in midfield were all decisive. Ferran Torres, Eric García, Alejandro Balde, and Dani Olmo also played important roles during key moments on Barça’s path to their 28th league crown.
