Mogadishu City Club have been crowned champions of the 2024/25 Somali Premier League. This comes after a 3-1 win over Raadsan FC. The victory sealed their seventh national title with one game remaining to the end of the season

The win took MCC to 56 points, nine ahead of second-placed Heegan FC, with one game left to play.

The match was held at Mogadishu Stadium, which hosts fixtures for the Somali Premier League. MCC players and coaching staff celebrated the victory with their fans at the venue.

The Somali Premier League features 12 teams competing for the national title. With MCC leading the table by nine points, Heegan FC, who have a game in hand, having played 20 matches, can no longer catch up.

MCC represents the Banaadir Regional Administration (BRA), also known as the Municipality of Mogadishu. This is the club’s seventh Somali Football Federation (SFF) title. Their last league win came in the 2019/20 season.

“Thank God. We have finally won the Somalia National League for the 2024/2025 season. Apart from Allah, we thank our supporters who consistently contribute to the team’s success. Thank you, our fans. Vamos MCC,” the club posted on its official Facebook page, alongside a team photo captioned “Champions.”

The Somali Football Federation (SFF) also congratulated MCC on winning the league, posting: “Mogadishu City Club are the winners of the 24/25 Somali National League.”

Abdiaziz Osman Mohamed, the deputy head of social affairs for the Banaadir Regional Administration, thanked the team for their efforts and said the win was the result of months of hard work, training, and dedication.
