Welcome to our Fantasy Premier League (FPL) guide for Gameweek six. Each Gameweek, we highlight top picks to help you make the best decisions for your FPL team.
We triple up on Manchester City in our best team for Gameweek 6 of Fantasy Premier League.
Most managers have brought in City forward Erling Haaland, making him the most transferred-in player ahead of Burnley (H). At the same time, more than 500,000 have sold Liverpool’s Ekitiké after being sent off in mid-week.
BEST FPL TEAM AHEAD OF GAME WEEK 6
FORMATION: 3:5:2
GK: Guglielmo Vicario – (Spurs)
Vicario is Spur’s top-scoring player in Fantasy this season, combining three clean sheets with four save points and five bonus points to claim 30 points. Spurs and Vicario entertain a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who have failed to score in both their away matches.
DEF: James Tarkowski (Everton)
Everton’s centre-back is one of only two players to collect defensive contribution points in all five of the opening Gameweeks. Tarkowski’s threat at set-pieces will also pose major problems for the Hammers.
DEF: Marco Senesi (Bournemouth)
Senesi is the next most popular pick for Gameweek 6. Senesi registered nine points in Gameweek 5 as he registered a clean sheet and a bonus point. The defender also returned two defensive contribution points; he has done this in every match so far this season.
DEF: Josko Gvardiol (Man City)
The City centre-back has a clean sheet and two defensive contribution points to his name over the last two Gameweeks since recovering from injury. Five goals in the previous campaign underlines Gvardiol’s major attacking threat against Burnley.
MID: Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth)
This is one of the most eye-catching moves of the week. Semenyo has 20 points in his last 3 matches, delivering a goal and an assist, and has excellent underlying numbers including. His next fixtures (Leeds, Fulham, Crystal Palace) offer real potential.
MID: Ilman Ndiaye (Everton)
Ndiaye has produced 18 points in his last 3 games, with strong defensive contributions (34 DEFCON) to go alongside attacking returns. Fixtures against West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Man City offer mixed potential, but his price and form are enough to tempt many.
MID: Jack Grealish (Everton)
Everton’s winger has four assists and 24 points in his four starts since arriving on loan from Man City. Grealish has created 13 chances from Gameweek 2 onwards, more than any other player in Fantasy.
MID: Bruno Fernandes (Man United)
The Redd Devil’s playmaker visits a Brentford side who have conceded 10 goals over the first five Gameweeks, the third-most in the league. Fernandes has scored twice and created a league-high 15 chances, highlighting his major all-round attacking potential.
MID: Tijjani Reijnders (Man City)
Tijjani Reijnders has already returned 26 points this season. While ten of those came on the opening day, he was back among the points with an assist for Erling Haaland against Arsenal. Given the form of Haaland – another City asset who simply has to be in your squad – Reijnders should continue to get opportunities to provide.
FWD: Erling Haaland (Man City) – CAPTAIN
Haaland is once again the headline move. Despite being flagged with a minor injury (75% chance of playing), he’s scored 4 goals in his last 3 matches, picking up 31 FPL points and 9 bonus points.
FWD: Richarlison (Spurs)
The Spurs forward took his tally to three goals and an assist for the season last weekend with a strike in their 2-2 draw at Brighton. Richarlison’s 13 shots in the box rank second only to Haaland this season, while his opponents Wolves have conceded 12 goals and are without a clean sheet over their five matches.
