Egyptian sides Zamalek and Al Masry are among the clubs to have secured qualification for the quarter-finals of the 2025–26 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup as the group stage reaches its conclusion on Sunday.
With each group comprising four teams playing six matches, only the top two advance to the knockout stage.
As most groups have now completed their fixtures, the last-eight line-up has taken shape.
Group A: USM Alger and Olympique de Safi progress
In Group A, USM Alger topped the standings with 14 points after an unbeaten campaign of four wins and two draws. The Algerian side conceded just four goals across six matches, underlining their defensive solidity.
Morocco’s Olympique de Safi finished second with 13 points, losing only once during the group phase.
Both clubs had effectively secured qualification before the final round, reflecting their consistency throughout the campaign.
Group B: Wydad and Maniema in control
Moroccan giants Wydad AC finished as the winner of Group B with 15 points from six matches, having won five of their opening five fixtures.
Maniema Union of DR Congo finished second with 12 points, three points ahead of Azam.
Azam and Nairobi United are eliminated after finishing three and fourth respectively.
Group C: CR Belouizdad and Otoho d’Oyo advance
Algeria’s CR Belouizdad secured qualification from Group C with 12 points, winning four of their five matches to date. The club demonstrated attacking strength, scoring nine goals while conceding just four.
Congo’s Otoho d’Oyo (also known as AS Otohô) confirmed second place with nine points, edging out Singida Black Stars and Stellenbosch in the standings.
Group D: Egyptian duo advance in tight contest
Group D produced one of the most competitive finishes of the group stage. Zamalek confirmed top spot with 11 points after defeating Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 in their final match.
The Egyptian side combined defensive resilience with timely goals, finishing with a +2 goal difference.
Fellow Egyptian club Al Masry secured second place with 10 points following a 2-1 victory over Zesco United.
The result proved decisive in a group where three teams were separated by just a single point going into the final round.
Kaizer Chiefs narrowly missed out despite finishing level on 10 points, edged out on goal difference.
