The final round of the African qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026 promises intense battles for qualification, with eight national teams still in contention for a place at the global finals.
Cameroon will open the final round against Tanzania, with the first leg scheduled for 2 May at 14:00 GMT at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé. The return leg will take place on 10 May at 12:30 GMT at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar.
In another highly anticipated tie, Ghana will face Uganda. The Black Princesses will host the first leg in Accra on 3 May at 15:30 GMT before travelling to the FUFA Stadium in Kadiba for the return leg on 9 May at 13:00 GMT.
Côte d’Ivoire will take on Benin, with the first leg set for 2 May at 17:00 GMT at the Stade d’Ebimpé in Abidjan. The return fixture will be played on 10 May at 15:00 GMT at the Stade de Kégué in Lomé.
Meanwhile, continental powerhouse Nigeria will face Malawi. The first leg is scheduled for 2 May at 16:00 GMT in Ikenne, before the return match at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on 9 May at 13:00 GMT.
At the conclusion of these encounters, the four winning teams will secure qualification for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026, where they will represent Africa at the global stage.
The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup will take place from 5 to 27 September 2026.
