World Athletics has opened applications for media representatives wishing to cover the World Athletics Ultimate Championship Budapest 26 on 11-13 September 2026.
The deadline for registration is 31 July 2026.
Media accreditation guidelines
The World Athletics Ultimate Championship media accreditation guidelines are unique for this event. The guidelines can be downloaded here and from the media accreditation page on the World Athletics website. All media representatives are advised to read them before applying.
Media accreditation
Press and photographers wishing to cover the event will require a specific access code to enter the World Athletics online accreditation system.
If you wish to apply and do not yet have an access code, please contact your national athletics federation.

Media accommodation
Media representatives requiring accommodation should request it when applying for accreditation.
Accommodation request deadline is 30 June 2026.
Requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability cannot be guaranteed after the deadline, although the accommodation team will do their best to support all media.
A deposit will be required to confirm your booking. The local organising committee (LOC) will issue an invoice once your accreditation has been approved by World Athletics.
Payment must be completed by 30 June 2026, in accordance with the terms outlined in the accommodation request form.

Media visa
Media representatives will be able to enter their visa-related details within their application. Once media approval is granted, the LOC’s visa team will issue visa invitation letters.
Non-rights holder applications
Non-rights holders can register through the World Athletics Series Broadcasters Accreditation System.
For first access, non-rights holders will need to set up an account. The same credentials can then be used for future access to the system, once the account has been created and approved.
Content creator accreditation
Content creators wishing to cover this event for editorial purposes only may apply for accreditation via the following this link.
Please note that World Athletics reserves the right to impose limits on content creator accreditation where necessary.
