The AfriSportPro Youth League in Nigeria has successfully concluded the Conference (Zonal) Phase of its maiden edition, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of youth football in Africa.
Over the past 11 weeks, the league brought together 72 U19 teams across six regional conferences – Akwa Ibom, FCT, Imo, Kaduna, Osun, and Plateau to compete in what has now become the largest organized youth football competition on the African continent.
In total, more than 350 matches were played, with over 1,700 players taking part and an equal number of player performance reports and match videos generated. These data-driven insights form the foundation of AfriSportPro’s player development and scouting ecosystem, designed to connect Africa’s emerging football talents with global opportunities.
Breaking Barriers in African Football
The AfriSportPro Youth League was established to redefine the structure and professionalism of youth football in Africa.
Three months later, AfriSportPro Youth League stands as proof that African football can be organized, transparent, and world-class.
The first match kicked off on 10th August 2025, setting in motion a continental movement focused on youth empowerment, professional development, and the business of football.
Qualified Teams for the 2025 National Playoffs
With the conclusion of the zonal phase on 28th October 2025, two top teams from each conference have secured their place in the National Playoffs, scheduled to begin on 10th November, with the grand final on 16th November 2025.
The 12 qualified teams have been divided into two seeding pots:

• Ejigbo FA (Osun)
• Corner Flag FC (Plateau)
Advancement Format
The opening knockout round will feature all 12 teams, with six winners and two best losers progressing to the quarterfinals, followed by semifinals and the grand final to determine the first-ever AfriSportPro Youth League Champion.
