The Comoros national team has unveiled its final squad for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025) in Morocco, as head coach Stéphane Cusin selects a balanced mix of experience and emerging talent for the island nation’s latest continental campaign.

The 26-man list features three goalkeepers: Salim Boina, Youssouf Pandor, and Ali Anzimati, who will be tasked with anchoring the team’s defensive stability.

A solid defensive unit accompanies them, led by the likes of Kassim M’Dahoma, Younes Zahary, and seasoned full-back Benjaloud Youssouf. Young defenders such as Ibro Boura and Youssouf Saïd Mmadi also make the cut, bringing freshness and versatility to the squad.

In midfield, Comoros rely on continuity and chemistry with established figures like Zaidou Youssouf, Youssouf M’Changama, and Yacine Bourhane forming the core. They are joined by Ibrahim Mohamed, Roddy Lutin, and Rafiki Vita, offering a blend of creativity, ball progression, and defensive cover.

The attacking lineup includes proven offensive threats such as Faïz Selemani, Myziane Maolida, and Rafidine Saïd. Rising forward El Fardou Ben Mohamed features as well, alongside forward Matt Ozir Mattor and the young talent credited simply as “1Pliké140,” – making his debut, marking one of the squad’s most intriguing inclusions.

Comoros will play against Gambia at the Stade Municipal de Berkane and against Madagascar at Stade d’Al-Hoceïmat—both scheduled for 19:00 GMT.

With a competitive roster and growing confidence after recent strong displays, Les Coelacanthes enter AFCON 2025 aiming to surpass their historic 2021 run and once again emerge as one of the competition’s surprise packages.
