Fleurs, a rising star in South African football, had joined Kaizer Chiefs just last year after playing for SuperSport United.
He was a former Under-23 international and represented South Africa at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. While he had not yet made his debut for the senior national team, he was reportedly on the verge of achieving that milestone.
