The 2024 National Sevens Circuit leaders Kabras Sugar RFC are heading into this weekend’s Kabeberi Sevens brimming with confidence and momentum.

The tournament, set to kick off on Saturday at the RFUEA Grounds, marks the third leg of the circuit.

Kabras Sugar will be aiming to add another title to their impressive season, having already secured wins at the Christie Sevens earlier this month and last weekend’s Dala Sevens in Kisumu.

Kabras Sugar headlines Group A, which also includes Nakuru RFC, Strathmore Leos, and Impala RFC.

Catholic Monks will face Kisumu RFC at 9:40 am, followed by Menengai Oilers against Stallions Rugby at 10:00 am.

Other notable fixtures include KCB Rugby taking on MKU Thika at 11:00 am, with KCB aiming to start strong in their quest for the title. MMUST will face off against Mwamba RFC at 11:20 am, rounding off the first round of matches.

Women’s matches add to the excitement

The ladies’ matches will also bring excitement to the Kabeberi Sevens. Northern Suburbs will play against Ruck It at 11:40 am, and Mwamba Ladies will face Meru Ladies at noon, highlighting the growing presence and competitiveness of women’s rugby in Kenya.
