Angola showed no mercy to their Mozambican counterparts, thrashing them 4-1 in a practice match played in Portugal on Wednesday.
The heavy defeat in the final warm-up for the AFCON 2025 should give Mozambique food for thought and hope for the Angolans.

Wednesday’s game was the only strength-building encounter for the Mozambicans.
Angola scored their goals through Zito, Gelson, David Carmo and Rui Modesto.

The game was extended to 120 minutes as agreed by both teams. The entire match was split into three phases, with two lasting 45 minutes each then the other 30 minutes, according to reports.
Both teams will now proceed to Morocco for the AFCON 2025 finals which will get underway on Sunday 21, 2025.
Angola will compete in Group B of AFCON 2025 alongside South Africa, Zimbabwe and Egypt.
Mozambique are in Group F comprising Cameroon, Senegal and Gabon.
