With the official start of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup today, premium continental club football will be back on television this weekend.
The CAF Interclub Competition will be broadcast on CAF’s pay television partners, beIN Sport (in Arabic, English, and French), CANAL+ (in French), AZAM (in English and Swahili), and New World TV (in English and local languages), both throughout the continent and around the world.
This will guarantee that the general public can watch all continental club football through a number of Free to Air broadcasters spread throughout the continent. They consist, among others, of SABC, MAX TV, SNRT, AZAM, EPTV, ERTU, TPA, DRTV, and TUNIS TV.

Al Ahly, the defending CAF Champions League champions, will take on Medeama at home in an attempt to win a record 12 trophies.
African Football League (AFL) Champions Mamelodi Sundowns will play this season’s surprise package, FC Nouadhibou from Mauritania, at home to wrap up the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League action. Many people are unaware of the Club from Nouadhibou, a seaside town in Mauritania, but they have achieved some notable feats, such as defeating Real Bamako 3-0 during this competition’s qualifying stages.
On Sunday, Al Hilal Benghazi of Libya will play USM Alger, the reigning champions from Algeria, in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup. Over the past few seasons, Al Hilal Benghazi has significantly improved in continental football.
Academica do Lobito of Angola will take on Rivers United of Nigeria, the only team representing Nigeria in this season’s CAF Inter-Club competition.
