“It’s a sobering time because the feeling was after winning the FA Cup final and investing well, having a smoother transfer window, that now it’s looking like here we are again at that moment where it’s going badly wrong,” he said on Sky Sports.
“It’s getting to that point where it’ll become unbearable, the pressure in this next week or two around Erik ten Hag.”
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca says he’s pleased with the progress made by his team this season but is not getting ahead of himself.
“The target is to improve and slowly, slowly to get closer to those clubs – title challengers like
Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool – but at the moment we are not ready for that. There is no time frame because you can continue to improve and add solutions to things always,” he says.
