The 2026 Freestyle Trampoline World Championships came to an exciting conclusion in Porto, Portugal, on 23 August, with world champions crowned across the Junior, Women’s and Senior Men’s divisions – and one remarkable junior athlete producing the highest score of the entire World Championship Finals.
The even brought the international freestyle trampoline community together, with athletes representing countries from across Europe, North America and beyond competing in a spectacular beachside setting. The Finals were attended in their entirety by Rodrigo Passos, Porto City Councillor and President of Ágora Porto, who also presented the trophies to the newly crowned World Champions and medal winners.

The Freestyle Trampoline Association was extremely proud and grateful to welcome both representatives to the World Championship Finals and greatly appreciated their time, enthusiasm and support for the athletes and the sport of freestyle trampoline. Their presence at the Finals was particularly meaningful to the FTA as the organization continues working alongside host cities and local partners to build freestyle trampoline into an internationally recognized competitive and spectator sport.

About the Freestyle Trampoline Association
The Freestyle Trampoline Association (FTA) is the international organization dedicated to the development of freestyle trampoline as a competitive global ‘Action Sports’ franchise. Known as the “Sport Born On Instagram,” the sport grew organically on social media through online communities and the FTA brought them together for the first time in real live physical events and competitions. Through World Championships, international competitions, athlete development, athlete, coach and club education and digital initiatives, the FTA works to create a professional competitive pathway for freestyle athletes while growing the sport for athletes, fans and communities around the world. This form of trampoline is similar to Snowboarding int he 80’s as it diverged from ‘classical’ downhill ski racing.

The 2026 World Championship judging panel was led by Head Judge Adam Reynolds. The judging team included:
- Difficulty Judges
- Jake Mueller and Tom Marchant
- Creativity Judges
- Julian Siau and Nico Stary
- Execution Judges
- Osama “Ossy” Ali and Brin Leben

The FTA thanks the entire judging panel for the professionalism, knowledge and enormous responsibility they brought to the competition. Keeping the crowd entertained and the energy high throughout the Finals were World Championship MCs Dominique Lewis (Domitrick) of the USA and Jesse Heffels of the Netherlands.
For audiences watching around the world, the World Championship livestream production and commentary was provided by Steve Sommerfeld (co-commentated with Greg Roe), representing FTA partner Night of the Jumps, bringing the action, athlete stories and competition directly to the international freestyle community. The FTA also extends its sincere appreciation to the event production team, local organizing crew, volunteers, medical and safety personnel, athlete support team and everyone working behind the scenes whose contribution made the World Championship Finals possible.
